As a tribute to a music that had its documented beginnings over seven decades ago, the Guadalupe Cultural Arts center initiated the
Tejano Conjunto Festival in 1981. This year, we will celebrate 25 years of music history with the 2006 Annual Tejano Conjunto
Festival. The festival is scheduled to take place on May 10-13, 2006 at Rosedale Park. The festival will open with a Hall of Fame
gala fundraiser at the Guadalupe Theater and will be followed by three days of non-stop conjunto music at Rosedale Park. |

Esparza is the producer of the films
"Price of Glory" and "Selena"
Esparza's latest film "Walk Out" is the true story of a young, charismatic Mexican American high school teacher, Sal Castro, who becomes the mentor of a group of high school students in East Los Angeles when they decide to stage a peaceful protest against the injustices of the public school system in 1968. The protest becomes the largest student public school walkout in the U.S. history.
